Oslo-based, Kansas-born painter and sculptor Charlie Roberts has collaborated with AllRightsReserved on his first-ever wooden sculpture editions. The Horse Play, Night time Stroll and Rum Punch trio unfold scenes from on a regular basis life that includes animal characters.
Roberts’ wooden editions function rough-hewn designs with painted particulars that convey a way that the characters have stepped out of a canvas and onto a shelf. Benefiting from the medium, Roberts has designed the items to be two-sided with both sides revealing a special side of the scene. Within the case of Rum Punch and Night time Stroll, the flip aspect reveals characters largely unseen from the opposite aspect. Every design incorporates enjoyable particulars such because the artist’s initials scrawled on sneakers or a snail hiding behind a rock on the again aspect of Horse Play.
Signed and numbered editions of 25, the Horse Play, Night time Stroll and Rum Punch wooden sculptures can be found from DDT Retailer for HK$19,625 (~$2520). Every sculpture is packaged in a wood field and features a certificates of authenticity. The sculptures are scheduled to ship in April 2022.
